Located at the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia, Terengganu is blessed with long stretch of white sandy beaches, exotic islands with crystal clear water, virgin rainforest, peaceful fishing villages and dazzling waterfalls. Although offshore oil and gas has been discovered in 1974, it still remains as one of the favourite vacation spots among visitors.

It is renowned as one of the few places where turtles come ashore to lay their eggs. There are 2 most common places where visitors can see turtles laying eggs ashore, it’s the Rantau Abang beach where Giant Leatherback turtles are found, and it is located 60km south to the capital city, Kuala Terenganu. The other place where you can find turtles is Gem Islands. The islands here are all famous for their unspoilt beauty, and the peace and calmness while lay back sun bathing in the beautiful beaches.

It has a long history; it is believed that this state has already been resided since 4,000 B.C. through archeological evidences found in Bewah Cave. And Malay settlement in this state can be found dated back to the 1st century, with this rich history it has; there is a lot to offer in heritage and culture. You’ll find batik, the Malay tradition wear, woodcrafts and boat making here.
