Introduction Pahang is located at the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia, surrounded by 6 other states; it is the largest state in Peninsular Malaysia. Pahang in main can be categorised into 3 sections, coastal areas, highlands and the rainforest.Visitors often enjoys the natural beauty of rainforests, cool green mountains, fishing villages,
long stretches of white sandy beaches, mysterious caves and unspoilt lakes.
For nature lovers, Pahang offers some of the finest beaches such as the famous Cherating Beach, Teluk Chempedak and Beserah Beach. There are plenty of hill resorts in Cameron Highlands where you can enjoy the view of endless piece of tea plantation, Genting Highlands the city of entertainment and Fraser's Hill. While it also offers the country's largest national park, Taman Negara. This large primary rainforest is extensive, and is home to many rare or endangered animals, such as the tapir, kancil, tigers and leopards. And Gunung Tahan is located in Taman Negara, the highest peak in Peninsular Malaysia and the inspiration of many a mountaineers in this part of the world. |
