Malaysia comprised of three major ethnic groups, four main religions, and three main languages. With such a unique heritage, there is a constant procession of delightful festivals, celebrations and feasts for all to enjoy. You’ll find a harmony and soothing fusion of East and West here.
One of the unique features is its multi-racial population which practices various religions such as Islam, Buddhism, Taoism, Hinduism and Christianity. Each ethnic group has its own beliefs. Under the Federal Constitution, Islam is the official religion of Malaysia but there is freedom of worship.
At the early year, the Chinese were working in the mines, and the Indians work in the rubber estates. The early sultanate also have good relationship with China. Under the influence of the early sultanate, and colonial time, Malaysia has developed a unique culture that combine the sophisicated West and charming East. That is especially true when you visit Melaka and Penang, where these two states was an important ports because of their strategy locations.
